Dr. T. Benjamin Skelton, an experienced internal medicine physician who has served the Gulf South region since 2009, has joined Garden Park Physician Group and will open a private practice in Gulfport, Mississippi, in January.
“Not only am I excited about caring for patients at Garden Park, I look forward to establishing a residency program in the near future so I can help impact the lives of future providers,” Dr. Skelton said.
Dr. Skelton has more than 14 years of patient care experience. He completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and received his medical degree at East Tennessee State University. After completing an internship at Keesler Medical Center, he conducted his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served as a staff internist at Keesler Medical Center, then obtained privileges at Merit Health Biloxi and opened his own private practice in 2009.
Dr. Skelton is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians. His accomplishments include Staff Internist Teacher of the Year at Keesler Medical Center and being named a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at East Tennessee State University.
“We are ecstatic to have a physician with Dr. Skelton’s enthusiasm and talent for patient care join Garden Park’s family of physicians,” said Randy Rogers, Garden Park Medical Center’s CEO.
