Visiting Hours

In general, it is recommended that visitors with contagious illnesses refrain from visiting patients.  In certain cases, visitors with suppressed immune systems may want to check with their physicians before visiting patients in a hospital.

Visitation by children under 12 years of age is permitted, but children must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient and must be supervised while in the hospital.

Family Birth Center Visiting Hours

Patients who are in labor may have visitors at any time with the permission of the patient and her physician.  Mothers may have up to two guests sleep in the room overnight.  Mothers may have visitors in the room with a baby.  However, any guest who has a cold or other contagious illness will be asked to remain in the waiting room until the baby is brought into the nursery.  Also, any visitors, including children, who have been exposed to chicken pox or any other serious diseases within the past three weeks will not be allowed to visit.  Children under 12 years of age may visit but must be accompanied by an adult.
