Garden Park cares about your work/life balance and offers several family and wellness services.
Life: Live it Well program- Our wellness program promotes health and wellness for you and your family. We help you reduce health risks through programs such as the Personal Health Assessment (PHA), a confidential survey that uses your answers to health-related questions to determine your risk for certain treatable and preventable conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Free membership in H2U and educational resources help you live a healthier life. Even better, participation earns benefits eligible employees financial rewards towards your out-of-pocket medical expenses!
Annual Health Screenings-Each year, Garden Park offers free health screenings on-site to all benefits eligible employees. In addition, participation in the wellness program earns financial rewards towards your out-of-pocket medical expenses!
HCA Hope Fund– The Hope Fund provides support and assistance to HCA employees in times of crisis. You can also donate money quickly, conveniently, and confidentially through payroll deductions or one-time donations. Following Hurricane Katrina, Garden Park employees received over $130,000 in Hope Fund grants.
Lactation Services– In the Family Birth Center, we have a mother’s room open 24-hours a day, seven days a week which offers a place for new mother’s to express milk in private.
Garden Park Wellness Center– Located in Physical Therapy, employees have use of state-of-the-art weight lifting and exercise equipment. Showers and lockers are also available. The best part- it’s free!
Discounted Gym Memberships- Employee discounts are available at local gyms. Visit HR to learn which local area memberships are available.
Adoption Assistance Program –HCA offers aid for expenses related to the adoption of a child with additional allowances for expenses related to the adoption of a "special needs" child. Adoption Assistance claim forms are available in Human Resources or on Atlas.
Employee Assistance Program– To help support you with life’s challenges, you have free access to a confidential assessment, counseling, and referral program to help you and your family solve personal issues that may affect your health, family life, and/or job performance. You and your family are allowed up to five sessions per issue per year with a face-to-face counselor, as well as a free consultation with an attorney. Online Coaching Programs – Three online interactive wellness programs for benefits eligible employees are available: Nutrition Improvement, Weight Management and Physical Activity. These programs are offered at no charge to participants and help you set, manage and improve personal nutrition, weight and physical activity goals to live longer, healthier lives. PTO Donation- Sometimes we find ourselves in unexpected situations that require us to be away from work with little to no paid time off available to us. For this reason, employees may donate PTO time to help someone in need.
Smoking Cessation- Free programs are offered to all employees.
Fit Friendly Company- In 2012, the American Heart Association recognized Garden Park as a gold-level Fit Friendly Company for our recognition of the importance of a healthy workplace for our employees and taking steps to create a culture of physical activity and wellness in the workplace.
