Garden Park Medical Center
September 10, 2013

September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and GPMC is offering free prostate cancer screenings, Monday, Sept. 16, from 5p-7p. Call (228) 575-7330 to register. Check in at the front lobby at Garden Park Medical Center.

Included in the screening: Prostate exam/Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) and Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA). The PSA is designed to detect a protein made in small amounts by a normal prostate and usually made in great amounts by prostate cancer cells.

One of Garden Park’s affiliated physicians (listed below) will interpret your results. You will receive your results via mail and, if necessary, the correspondence will include recommendations for a follow up appointment.

Physicians sponsoring our event this year include Joseph L. Cottone Jr., MD – Regional Urology, PLLC and Arthur M. Mathews Jr., MD – Urology Associates, LLC.

To register, call (228) 575-7330.
